Mission Statement

It is the desire of the congregation at the First Baptist Church of Mahomet to be the church of Jesus Christ in attitude, behavior and voice; to be the power and glory of Christ in the world; and to enjoy the grace of Christ in its fullness. At the same time, we have been sent into the world to personally invite others to join with us in God's eternal Kingdom. Any effort in which this local church engages, no matter how traditional, innovative or contemporary, shall be servant to this end.

Vision

We at First Baptist of Mahomet desire to be a healthy loving church reaching out in the love of Jesus to the community we are part of. We want to be known as a nurturing fellowship of believers who care about each other to the point of sacrifice. We want to reach out in those areas where we see needs to bring Light into the darkness of the world. In services we want people to be able to come face to face with the living Savior.
