First Baptist Church is the oldest church in Mahomet with a building erected in 1867. However, we are far from being outdated as our ministries strive to be relevant in an ever changing world.

At First Baptist, we seek to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to the world and serve Him through the various ministries of the church. Our goal is to provide a place where people can have an encounter with Jesus and develop a deep personal relationship with the Savior that transforms the heart, mind, and life of all that choose to make Jesus the Lord of their life. Our hope is that you will join us on this journey to change the world by extending the love of Christ to everyone.

First Baptist Church of Mahomet, is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches of the Great Rivers Region. Members are affirmed through Adult Baptism by Immersion, Letter of Transfer from another Christian Congregation, or Statement of Christian Experience.
